Miriam: Hi Claudia, how are you? I haven’t seen you in a long time.
Claudia: I know! I’m fine, and you?
Miriam: Good, working and taking care of the children non-stop.
Claudia: Yes, I can imagine. How is your little one?
Miriam: He’s getting so big! How time flies.
Claudia: It’s beautiful.
Ordering Dinner
David the Waiter
David: Welcome to New York Burger. My name is David, and I’ll be your waiter. How many people are in your party?
Claudia: A table for two, please.
David: Very well, come with me.
Miriam: Thank you very much.
David: Would you like to order a drink while you decide what you want to eat?
Claudia: Yes, a bottle of water, please.
Miriam: I’ll have a Coke.
David: Very good. As you know, the soft drinks are unlimited, you can have all you want. We have an offer for fourteen euros which includes a starter, main course, and dessert. Alternatively, you can order something from the menu, but it won’t be included in this promotion and won’t have a fixed price like the menu.
Claudia: Okay, we’ll think it over and let you know.
David: Okay, I’ll be right back.
Placing the Order
Miriam: (Raises her hand to call David) Excuse me, could you come over for a moment?
David: Yes, tell me what you’d like and I’ll take your order.
Miriam: Yes, please. For starters, we’ll have the New York Nachos. For the main course, I’d like the Queens Burger, cooked medium, with fries and extra bacon.
David: Perfect. New York Nachos, a Queens Burger cooked medium with extra bacon and fries, correct?
Miriam: Yes, thank you.
David: Perfect. And for you, miss?
Claudia: I’m also interested in the promotion. I’ll have the Marilyn Monroe starter, an Empire State Burger without jalapeños, and the meat cooked medium as well.
David: What kind of sauce would you like?
Claudia: Mustard and honey.
David: Perfect. Just call me if you need anything else.
Wedding Preparations and Excitement
Claudia: You must be very hungry, right?
Miriam: The truth is, yes. It’s been a while since I’ve had a relaxing meal, and the occasion deserves it. By the way, have you finished all the wedding preparations?
Claudia: Yes, practically everything is ready. I just have a few details left for the guests, you know… a cigar, a small bottle of wine…
Miriam: How exciting! My wedding day was incredible. You’re going to look beautiful. It’s a very important day.
Claudia: I’m a little nervous, to be honest, but I’m really looking forward to it.
Miriam: Where are you going for your honeymoon?
Claudia: To Australia! We’ve already booked the hotel and the flight. It’s going to be spectacular.

David: Sorry ladies, here are your appetizers. I’ll bring the main course later so it doesn’t get cold.

The Main Course
Miriam: The food is so good! It’s worth spending a little more money and eating well.
Claudia: I agree. Everything is delicious.
David: Ladies, can I clear the appetizers and bring out your main course?
Miriam: Of course.
Claudia: Here you go.
David: Here are your burgers. Would you like to cut into the meat to see if it’s cooked to your liking?
Claudia: It’s perfect.
Miriam: Perfect, thank you very much.
Dessert and Coffee
Claudia: I’m so full, I don’t know if I’ll have room for dessert.
Miriam: Me too. Eating this well isn’t something I do often.
David: Now, what would you like for dessert? I have New York Cheesecake, Lemon Pie, Apple Pie, and Brownie with liqueur and coffee.
Miriam: What would you recommend?
David: The house specialty is the brownie.
Claudia: Great, I love brownies! I’ll have one with vanilla ice cream.
David: Excellent choice. And for you, madam?
Miriam: I’d like a brownie with cream, please.
David: Okay, any drinks to go with that? Coffee, liqueur, tea?
Claudia: A chamomile tea, please.
Miriam: Nothing for me, thanks.
David: We’ll bring it right away.
The Bill and Farewell
David: Here you are.
Miriam: Thank you, it looks delicious!
Claudia: It looks amazing!
Miriam: Everything was exquisite.
Claudia: Hey… did we ask for the bill already? I’d like to take a walk on Gran Via afterwards.
Miriam: Okay. Excuse me! (Raises her hand to call the waiter)
David: Yes?
Claudia: Could you bring us the bill, please? I’d like to pay by card if possible.
David: I’ll bring you your bill right now.
Miriam: We should leave a tip, the service has been excellent.
Claudia: Okay, I’ll leave three euros.
Miriam: Perfect, I’ll leave three euros as well.
David: That will be twenty-eight euros.
Claudia: (Pretends to pay with the card) I don’t need a copy, thank you very much for everything. (They gather their things and leave)
