Example Cover Letter
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to apply for the position which was advertised last month in X.
My name is Alfonso, I’m 19 and I live in Santander. Although I am presently studying at the University, it has always been my intention to work while I study. I consider it a great opportunity to gain experience in the workplace and to make some money.
As I mentioned, I’m studying at University. I’m in my second year of Economics. I have recently passed the B1 exam of English studies and the B2 exam of French studies. I also have knowledge of rescue and first aid and the driver’s license for cars and boats up to 12 meters.
My experience is limited because I have not yet reached age 20. Until a month ago, I worked as a teacher of children aged 10-15 years, helping them with their homework and questions. I also worked as a waiter at the restaurant X and as a lifeguard on the beaches of El Sardinero.
I would be pleased to discuss my curriculum vitae with you in more detail at an interview. In the meantime, please do not hesitate to contact me if you require further information. I look forward to hearing from you.
Yours sincerely,
[Signature]
Alfonso A. M.
