Business Interactions and Office Equipment Usage

Meeting at Dynamick

“Good morning. I’m Lorena Cámara.”

“Good morning, Mrs. Cámara. Welcome to Dynamick. I’m Paula, Mr. Bright’s administrative assistant.”

“Nice to meet you, Paula.”

“Nice to meet you, too. May I take your jacket, Mrs. Cámara?”

“Yes, thank you. I have a meeting at 9 o’clock with Mr. Bright and the head of Information Technology.”

“Yes, Mr. Bright and Mrs. Perez will be with you shortly. Please have a seat. Do you want milk or sugar?”

“I’ll have milk, please.”

“Here you go, Mrs. Cámara. Mr. Bright and Mrs. Perez will be down in a minute.”

“Thank you.”

Ordering Office Supplies

“Good morning. Waltman Office Supplies. It’s Lorena. Can I help you?”

“Good morning. It’s Paula from Tudetextil. I’d like to order some office supplies, please.”

“Certainly. What exactly do you need?”

“First of all, we need blue pens.”

“What quantity do you need?”

“I need 10 packets, please. What is the price per unit?”

“It’s 2 pounds per packet.”

“Good. Have you got high-quality staples?”

“Yes, we’ve got some very nice high-quality staples.”

“I’ll take 10 packets of staples. Oh, and we’re running low on highlighters and folders.”

“How many would you like of each?”

“Two yellow highlighters and four blue pens.”

“Anything else?”

“No, that’s all for now.”

“OK. We’ll get your order to you as soon as possible.”

Using the Photocopier

“Next, I’ll show you how to use the photocopier.”

“Thanks, Lorena.”

“First, press this button to turn on the machine. Put the document here. Then enter the number of copies you need.”

“How can I change the size of the paper?”

“Press this icon. You can select A4 or A3 paper.”

“And how do I enlarge a document or reduce its size?”

“Press the plus or minus button and then the start button.”

“I see. Do I select this icon when I want to photocopy on two sides of the paper?”

“Yes, that’s right, Anna. That’s double-sided copying.”

“OK, last question: Can this machine photocopy in color?”

“No, it’s only a black-and-white photocopier.”
