Compulsory Voting and the Rise of Music Festivals

Should Voting Be Compulsory?

It is a fact that voting is mandatory in many parts of the world. As the system and the population grow, interest in voting is lost. Therefore, should voting be compulsory?

Throughout history, the number of people who can vote has been increasing. At first, it was the privilege of a few, and in the end, anyone can vote. That is why the vote has great relevance in the way we see the system. Over the years, the number of people who vote, for different reasons, has decreased due to a decline in the quality of our leaders. Cases of corruption and their behavior only increase the reluctance. Furthermore, this criticism of politics, in general, is often reflected in the general abstention. Thus, the number of people who do not vote is quite worrying for a democratic society, and the need for change is observed.

In conclusion, from my point of view, although I do not see abstention as a reclamation of an improvement in politics, I think that voting should be compulsory so that all people in a democratic society decide what is best for everyone.

The Desire to Attend a Music Festival Post-Pandemic

Well, I have to say that after the pandemic, what I would like would be to attend an event in which certain measures are maintained. Although we are returning to normality, it is not over yet, and people continue to die. If I could attend any of the upcoming events, I would definitely choose a really big festival.

Frewnoew Festival: A Dream Come True

The festival I have in mind is called “Frewnoew”. It is located in Andalusia and is one of the most important urban music festivals in Spain. People from all over the world go every year to enjoy one of the best parties in Europe. I would go there as a volunteer, mainly because it is quite difficult for my parents to let me go. Otherwise, I could listen to singers I admire, like Paulo Londra. However, while volunteering is not always the best option because I will have to spend many hours working, I would like so much to go and be able to see my favorite singers that I don’t mind having to work in the meantime.

In conclusion, this event is attended by many people who share the same taste for the urban genre. Therefore, I would love to take advantage of this opportunity, make one of my main dreams come true, and live the best experience of my life.

Technology and Human Development: A Textual Analysis

The theme of the proposed text is the use of new technologies for the full development of human beings and prosthetics as a solution to some medical problems. We observe that the author makes references to the first person plural, involving the reader (“among us”, “we think”). This, together with the connotative meaning (“among its ranks”, the synesthesia “hear the colors”), examples of popular culture “Terminator”, etc., emphasizes the subjective nature of the text. That is, with the appellative function, with which it intends to convince us, and that at the same time combines with the referential function in which it wants to inform us and gives specific data as in the first paragraph. Therefore, we can conclude that it is an argumentative text, specifically a humanistic essay.

Summary

The author argues about how technology has been put at the service of human beings, not only to make their lives easier with gadgets or accessories but also to restore their senses, organs, and faculties. The combination of technology and humans is already a reality that improves, innovates, and advances by leaps and bounds, in such a way that the future of the movies in which men and machines were combined into a single being is no longer the future, but the present.
