Learning German: Student’s Perspective

Q1: Hi J. Nice to meet you. I have decided to learn German because I need to get a certificate to get into university. However, I don’t really like learning this language. I would prefer to study English.

Q2: I believe that the course is good because the teacher teaches very well and we are only three people in the class. But, on the other hand, I think it’s a drawback that the teacher isn’t a native speaker.

Q3: I would feel happy because the teacher, who isn’t native, can explain the things I don’t understand in Spanish. However, I would also like to have a native teacher. It would be a perfect combination, and I would feel very happy.

Gym Training Cancellation

Hi John, What do you think about the cancellation of training at the gym? I can’t believe the personal trainer is going away on holiday and we don’t have training. The gym should offer a discount if they plan to go on holiday. What do you think about this proposal? I just signed up and haven’t trained yet! Bye, Luis.

Dear Sir or Madam, I am writing in relation to the previous email (regarding the new message on our website), and I would like to express my disagreement about the cancellation of the training service.

I feel it is unacceptable to be without training for two weeks. In my case, I am going to this gym for this service, and now I cannot train with anybody.

I would like to suggest two alternatives: First of all, I believe that my personal trainer should be able to go on vacation, but as I pay for this service, I must have another personal trainer. As a second alternative, you should give me a discount for these two weeks without a personal trainer.

Q2: The service is very good, but the prices are very expensive. I would like to travel to NYC, but I don’t find many options on this website.

Q3: I am a new member of Hotel, and I didn’t know about the latest prices. I think that if the prices don’t decrease, people won’t buy on this platform.

Meal Delivery Service (MELS) Fee Increase

We must pay 10% more next month because they said that they need to reduce the high cost involved in delivering the meals. What do you think about the fee increase? Q2: The service is very good. I placed an order yesterday evening, and today, I received the meals in perfect condition. I love this service.

Q3: I didn’t know this information; I am a new member. I think that the price is good because, in all the restaurants that I know, the price is more expensive and the quality is lower.

Cooking Club Party Cancellation

Dear Secretary, As a keen member of the cooking club, I wish to express my disappointment with the cancellation of the Food Party. Not only have I already prepared my contribution, but I have also been looking forward to sharing and tasting foods from other members. I know that many members feel rather let down by the last-minute notice we have been given.

It seems only fair that you should try and find an alternative location to host the event. Might I suggest contacting another school and explaining the situation? They may agree to lend us their kitchen in exchange for our members assisting them with their festive preparation at Christmastime.
