Hello Macarena, good morning. I am very happy to be here with you today.

My name is Andrea Bouquin.

Today I will present about Japan.

First, I will talk about the country, then the capital city, next the main geographic features, the population, later the language, the weather, their currency, and finally the tourist attractions.

I plan for this presentation to take 10 minutes.

If you have any questions, I will answer them at the end.

Let’s get started. The first point is:

  1. Country:

Japan is an island country in East Asia.

It is surrounded by the Pacific Ocean, the Sea of Okhotsk, the Sea of Japan, and the East China Sea.

  1. Capital City:

The capital of Japan is Tokyo.

Located in the east center of the island of Honshu.

It is the center of politics, economy, education, communication, and culture of the country.

  1. Main Geographic Features:

Japan is an archipelago made up of four main islands.

The main islands, from north to south, are Hokkaido, Honshu, Shikoku, and Kyushu.

Other small islands are also included.

  1. Population:

Japan is a highly populated country and has a high population density.

Many people live there.

  1. Language:

In Japan, there are several regional dialects, but the official language is Japanese, which is spoken in Tokyo.

  1. Weather:

The weather in Japan is very varied, depending on the zone, it will be at a different temperature.

In the northern area, it is usually colder than in the southern area, where it is hotter.

  1. Currency:

The currency in Japan is the Yen.

  1. Tourist Attractions:

Fushimi Inari Shrine

One of the most visited temples, dedicated to the spirit of Inari, patron saint of merchants.

The sanctuary is located at the base of a mountain, which includes several trails to reach other smaller sanctuaries.

The easiest way to get to Fushimi Inari is by train.

Mount Fuji

Mount Fuji is located in central Japan, on the main island, Honshu, surrounded by the Japanese Alps to the northwest and the Pacific Ocean to the southeast.

It is the highest peak in the country. Mount Fuji is classified as an active volcano. The last recorded eruption dates from 1707. The volcano is a popular pilgrimage site, except in winter when it is covered in snow and ice.

The “official” season for alpinism is from July to the end of August. Most people climb at night to appreciate the sunrise.

Itsukushima Shrine

Itsukushima is a Shinto sanctuary located on the island of Itsukushima.

It is one of the most important monuments in the country and is a World Heritage Site. It is an enigmatic floating sanctuary.

Tokyo Skytree

Tokyo Skytree, usually known as the New Tokyo Tower, is a broadcast tower, restaurant, and observation platform built in Sumida, Tokyo, Japan.

It is the tallest man-made structure in Japan since 2010.

The views are very impressive, and it is recommended to go at night.

Osaka Castle

Osaka Castle is a Japanese castle located in Osaka, Japan.

It is one of the most famous castles in the country and played an important role in the unification of Japan during the 16th century.

The castle is open to the public and is easily accessible from the station.

It is a popular meeting point during the hanami festivities, which take place during the Japanese cherry blossom.

The interior of the castle houses a museum, a convention hall, and the Toyokuni Altar, dedicated to Toyotomi Hideyoshi.

In conclusion, I enjoyed making this presentation about Japan.

I really think that it is quite interesting to study facts about Japan, and also to know about their capital and their popular places… all things previously explained.

Now, if there are any questions, I will be very happy to answer them.

If there are no more questions, I’ll put an end here. Thank you.
