Effective Study Habits, Favorite TV Shows, Cherished Celebrations, and the Impact of Music

Effective Study Habits and Routines

Nowadays, many people pursue university degrees, which is essential for future job prospects. Therefore, having a study routine or habits is necessary.

My study habits include studying daily. If I focus on a specific subject one day, I study others the next day. I prepare a timetable, dividing subjects into specific time slots, such as an hour or an hour and a half, followed by a half-hour break. Additionally, I take notes: first, I read the theory, then I underline the main ideas, and finally, I write down the main topics and characteristics on a separate piece of paper.

In conclusion, having study habits and routines is crucial because it makes studying easier and benefits your brain.

Favorite TV Programs

Today, many people watch a lot of television; it can be addictive. Can you imagine a world without television? No, it’s impossible.

One of my favorite TV programs is Prison Break. It’s about two brothers whose time in prison is spent planning their escape. This show is exciting and full of mystery; for instance, the city’s mayor turns out to be their mother.

Another TV program I enjoy is Wild Frank. It’s about a Spanish man living in Thailand, teaching us about snakes. He also interacts with animals like elephants, lions, and tigers. This series started in Thailand, but due to its success, they now film in deserts, jungles, and cities. I like watching this program because it’s funny and educational about animals.

Cherished Family Celebrations

Many people return home to celebrate Christmas, while others, like doctors, nurses, and firefighters, continue working. In my 18 years, I’ve been fortunate to celebrate Christmas surrounded by my family, and I can’t imagine it any other way.

My family and I truly enjoy Christmas. My grandmother, grandparents, uncles, aunts, and cousins gather at my grandparents’ house. We celebrate on the 25th with a dinner, followed by exchanging presents. Nobody is left without a gift because ten days prior, we do the “Amigo Invisible” or “Secret Santa,” where each participant gives a present to a randomly assigned person. We also have a “little invisible friends” gift exchange among cousins.

I also like Christmas because, after the dinner, my mother, brother, and I exchange more personal and fun presents at home. When I was younger, I believed in Santa Claus or the Three Kings. Nowadays, I prefer giving presents instead of receiving them.

An Important Invention: The Microwave

One day, you return late from work or have a party, and in both cases, you’re too tired to prepare dinner. That’s when an invention like the microwave saves you. We all have leftovers, and it’s simple to heat them up in the microwave.

First, the microwave is easy to use: you set the time, and it signals when the food is hot. It’s also useful for heating drinks like milk, tea, or coffee. It’s a necessary appliance in every house.

Secondly, you can use the microwave to warm rice bags, melt chocolate, or prepare cooking ingredients. It’s incredibly versatile.

The Impact of Music

Description Essay: My Favorite Music

Music helps develop your brain. I usually listen to music at home and on the metro. At home, I often turn on the radio when I shower or study. On the metro, I listen to my MP3 player.

I like music because it can change my mood. Generally, I listen to rap and pop music, but when I need to concentrate or relax, I listen to classical music. I enjoy rap music because it has interesting lyrics about personal experiences, making you think. On the other hand, pop music is popular with everyone, and for me, it’s a way to stay connected with new music.

In my opinion, music is essential for our brain and body. I believe that everything you do can be made easier by listening to music.
