Future Tenses

Future Simple

Uses:

Established schedules
Sudden decisions
Making predictions

Structure: WILL + base form of the verb (e.g., I will play)

Time expressions: this evening, later, in an hour, at 4 o’clock, tomorrow, soon, next month, on May 8th

Future with “Be Going To”

Uses:

Expressing intentions
Plans about what we will do
Saying something is about to happen because we have evidence

Structure: BE (am/is/are) + GOING TO + base form of the verb (e.g., I am going to buy)

Time expressions: this evening, later, in an hour, at 4 o’clock, tomorrow, soon, next month, on May 8th

Future Continuous

Uses: Expressing an action that will be in progress at a specific time in the future (I will still be living the same way)

Structure: WILL + BE + verb-ing (e.g., I will be traveling)

Time expressions: at this time tomorrow, on Thursday, in the next year

Future Perfect Simple

Uses: Indicating actions that will be completed by a certain time in the future.

Structure: WILL + HAVE + past participle (e.g., I will have eaten)

The Columbus monument is one of the most famous statues of Barcelona. It was built to honor the discoverer, Christopher Columbus. This monument is located south of the Ramblas.
