Global Warming: Causes
I’m going to talk about the three main causes of global warming on our planet.
- The Greenhouse Effect: This is caused by the burning of fossil fuels, releasing toxic gases that damage the atmosphere.
- Deforestation: Trees absorb carbon dioxide, helping to regulate the atmosphere. However, widespread deforestation reduces this natural carbon capture.
- Toxic Waste: Improper disposal of waste in harmful sites contributes to atmospheric pollution.
Global Warming: Consequences
I’m going to talk about the three main consequences of global warming on our planet.
- Water: Warmer seas cause ice caps to melt. Water expands when heated, leading to rising sea levels and increased coastal flooding.
- Air: Reduced rainfall leads to crop failure, resulting in the extinction of plants and animals due to famine.
- Extreme Weather: Global warming contributes to more frequent and intense extreme weather events, such as hurricanes, tornadoes, and floods.
