Creating a New Storage Group
Server Configuration -> Mailbox -> … -> New
Creating a New Mailbox Database
Server Configuration -> Mailbox -> Select the created storage group -> New Mailbox Database
Creating and Configuring the Postmaster Mailbox
Recipient Configuration -> Mailbox -> New Mailbox -> Enter all details and select the created database.
Creating an SMTP Send Connector
Organization Configuration -> Hub Transport -> New Send Connector -> Name and Internet –> DNS (MX) -> Deselect the option and click Next.
Creating an SMTP Receive Connector
Organization Configuration -> Hub Transport -> New Receive Connector -> Name and Custom -> Default -> IP Range: 192.0.0.0 to 192.0.0.255
Creating a New Mailbox-Enabled User
Recipient Configuration -> Mailbox -> New Mailbox -> User Mailbox -> New User -> Enter details -> Select the created database.
Creating Mailbox-Enabled for an Existing User
Recipient Configuration -> Mailbox -> New Mailbox -> Existing User -> Select the previously created user -> Select the database.
Reconnecting a Disconnected Mailbox
Recipient Configuration -> Mailbox -> Select the desired mailbox -> Remove -> TO RECOVER, FOLLOW THESE STEPS -> Create a new AD user with the same name -> Recipient Configuration -> Disconnected Mailbox -> Select and “Connect…” -> User Mailbox -> Matching User and browse to select the user.
Creating a New Mail-Enabled User
Recipient Configuration -> Mail Contact -> New Mail User -> New User -> Enter details -> Edit and set alias@juancarlos.local
Mail-Enabling an Existing User
Create a user in AD -> Recipient Configuration -> Mail Contact -> New Mail User -> Existing User -> Browse; select the user created in AD -> Email address; alias@juancarlos.local
Configuring Send As Permission on a Mailbox
Recipient Configuration -> Mailbox -> Select user -> Manage Send As Permission… -> Add -> Browse user.
Creating a New Distribution Group
Recipient Configuration -> Distribution Group -> New Distribution Group -> New Group -> Distribution and name -> Select group and right-click -> Properties -> Members -> Add -> Select desired members -> Connect to OWA and send an email to the created group.
Mail-Enabling an Existing Security Group
Create a group in AD; Universal and Distribution -> Members -> Add desired members -> Recipient Configuration -> Distribution Group -> New Distribution Group -> Existing Group -> Browse; Find the created group -> OWA and send an email to that group.
Creating a New Dynamic Distribution Group
Recipient Configuration -> Distribution Group -> New Dynamic Group -> Enter name -> All Recipients Type -> Condition “State” -> Create users in AD with that condition and test.
