Featherstone Castle Mystery: A Teen Adventure

Robbie’s Featherstone Castle Adventure

Robbie’s mother arranged a vacation for him while she managed their move. Initially unenthusiastic, Robbie changed his mind when his mother mentioned Featherstone Castle, sparking his interest in history.

Before leaving for camp, Robbie glanced at his room with a hint of sadness. Approaching the camp, he was impressed by the castle’s imposing walls. Adam, a camp monitor, greeted him and led him to a room in one of the castle’s highest towers.

After settling in, Robbie went to the garden to read. A ball hit his head, and he met Heather, who invited him to play. He declined, though he was impressed by her. That night, they learned about the camp activities. After dinner, they strolled around the castle, where Robbie shared a ghost story.

Later, Heather went to brush her teeth alone. In the hallway, a girl warned her of danger and vanished. Worried, Heather brushed her teeth quickly. On her way back, she told Robbie about the encounter. Robbie read her a story about the castle’s ghosts, specifically the daughter of the castle’s lord.

Exploring Featherstone Castle

The next morning, Robbie toured Featherstone Castle. He spoke with Jake, a monitor who shared his passion for the castle’s history. After the tour, he met Sally, Heather’s friend, and they bonded over their love for Harry Potter.

That night, Robbie and Heather planned to investigate the castle. They decided to explore while others were at activities. Alone in the castle, they saw the ghost. They found the library and a portrait of the ghost. Soon after, they overheard Jake and Tony discussing a hidden treasure mentioned in a newspaper. After they left, Robbie and Heather found the newspaper clipping.

The Canoe Trip and a Shadowy Figure

While Robbie read, Heather went canoeing. Her canoe was faster, and she didn’t realize she was approaching a waterfall. Sally, worried, searched for her. Robbie spotted a shadow on a rock and realized it was Heather. They rescued her and took her to the infirmary, but she was unharmed. Jake began to suspect something was amiss.

After waking up, Heather saw the ghost again and followed her to a locked door. The next morning, they asked Chark for the key, but he refused. Heather took the key without him noticing, and they ran to open the door, followed by Jake. Inside the room, they found nothing. Suddenly, the ghost reappeared, leading them to a box hidden in the fireplace. Inside was a statue.

Unveiling the Treasure

The next morning, they took the statue to the museum director, who was thrilled. He contacted the castle owner, who was surprised and decided to donate the statue to the museum. As a reward, Robbie and Heather received tickets to all the country’s museums.
