Fernando Alonso’s Press Conference and Ski Adventures
An important day for everyone. For the first time, Fernando Alonso was going to give an official press conference with Ferrari. Admittedly, Fernando has good days and bad days in the press, but today was very good. Cute, playful, clear… he has convinced even the British journalists who have tried to take some reminding slice of some statements made by Lewis Hamilton. For example: “Fernando, Lewis says that what you said about that race in Ferrari is a dream for you and what you said when he joined McLaren”. To which Fernando said: “And it was, but after a few months ceased.” Then he was asked if Ferrari was aware of his reputation as a complicated pilot who always wants to be number 1 on a team. Fernando replied that he has never demanded to be number 1, but what he has not been, nor will he ever be, is ready to be No. 2 as sought in McLaren. In addition to these other questions, he answered as normal. From them, we hear again Fernando replied that he would like to finish his career at Ferrari, he would like to at least get a title, and that all he can promise now is that he will require 110% from the team and also 100% from himself.
He had little time to ski because, in addition to the press conference today, he had to do 21 interviews. He has risen by dogsled, (“going very slowly, it was fun,” he said), and then participated in the fall with torches at night. It was brutal.
