Day 1: Rome Airport – Dublin Airport
Upon your arrival in Dublin, you will be greeted by a private driver who will take you directly to your hotel. Take a stroll along the cobbled streets of the Temple Bar district and taste the world-famous beer, or visit the historic Trinity College to see the ancient Book of Kells. You could enjoy an afternoon tea sightseeing tour of the city. Spend the night in Dublin.
Day 2: Irish West Coast
Today, start your road trip towards the west coast, passing through the beautiful midlands. Your first stop is Trim Castle, where you can learn about Irish history at the largest castle in Ireland. You could also make a pit stop at Kilbeggan Distillery to see how the local whiskey is made. We recommend Clonmacnoise. Finally, arrive in Galway. This colorful city is the perfect place to taste some Irish delicacies, with its famous food scene and numerous pubs.
Day 3: Galway
Come here for its cool vibes, thriving music, food culture, and university. Architecture lovers should plan a visit to the controversial Galway Cathedral on Nun’s Island. To learn more about local history, head to the Galway City Museum. You can always sample Irish drinks in Galway pubs. Take a trip to medieval Galway by visiting Kirwan’s Lane. Spend the night in the Latin Quarter.
Day 4: Cliffs of Moher
The iconic Cliffs of Moher are famous throughout the world as one of the most beautiful attractions in Ireland. Start the day by visiting Dunguaire Castle, sitting on a rocky outcrop overlooking Galway Bay. Explore the landscape of the Burren before arriving at the breathtaking Cliffs of Moher, Ireland’s top attraction. Spend the night in Killarney. The Cliffs of Moher are close to 80 km from Galway.
Day 5: Clonmacnoise
Clonmacnoise is an ancient monastic site and a popular attraction for history lovers. You can find a selection of original crosses and grave slabs on display inside the visitor center, which is run by Heritage Ireland, as well as exhibitions about the site and its flora and fauna. Stroll through this site, contemplating how grand it used to be and what life must have been like for the religious. An entrance fee is required. Spend the night near Clonmacnoise. To get to Clonmacnoise, you will have to travel 150 km.
Day 6: Kilkenny
Kilkenny is a lovely city and one worth visiting. It is a medieval city. Visit Kilkenny Castle, one of the most beautiful castles in Ireland. After a castle visit, I recommend heading towards the Medieval Mile. The museum is very small but most interesting. If you came to Ireland looking for monumental complexes, visit St. Canice’s Cathedral. Spend the night in Kilkenny. The two cities are 120 km away.
Day 7: Departure
If you wish to spend more time exploring Dublin, you can head straight to the city this morning. Alternatively, we highly recommend a drive through the scenic Wicklow Mountains to take in the beautiful views. To get to Dublin Airport, you can take a taxi or arrange a convenient private transfer directly from your hotel. Visit one of the many attractions or simply relax and take in the atmosphere of the city one last time.
Have a good trip!
