My Life with the Jonas Brothers: A Fanfiction Story

My Life with the Jonas Brothers

Chapter 1

POV – Sammer

“Ladies and gentlemen, bound for Texas, please direct yourself to gate 3, the flight leaves in 15 minutes. Thank you.”

Man, I hate the voice of these women; it is annoying. But well, after the EUS nanny agency sent me the proposal to go to Texas and work, my life has been completely upside down. A few days ago, Carolaine, a secretary of the agency, had called me.

*Flashback*

– Hello
– Good afternoon, this is Carolaine speaking from the Babysitters Agency. I would like to talk with Ms. Sammer, please.
– Speaking, what is it?
– Well, it seems you filled out a form to work here in Texas two months ago, and a family from Texas liked your resume and wants you as a nanny to their children. Okay?
– OMG! But of course. But how do I go?
– Well, the family will cover the expenses of the move, and as they asked, you will spend the work period living in the family home. Any questions?
– Hmm. Yes. What is the family’s name?
– Well, the family asked not to be identified, but know that the family is very reliable; there’s no need to worry.
– All right, then.
– All right then, thank you, Ms. Sammer.
– Oh, I appreciate that.

*End of Flashback*

Well, then here I was at the airport in New York, taking a plane to Texas to work as a nanny in a family that I don’t even know. Well, this is my life. And I love it.

I boarded the plane. First class. I sat by the window, and beside me sat a lady of around 68 years.

– Hi, she said.
– Hi, I replied, accommodating her accent.

– You know, when I was younger, in my time…

Well, needless to say, the woman spent the whole journey talking about the past and blah blah blah. But at a time when she wasn’t looking, I put on my headphones and let her talk to herself.

Taking into account that I was with a 68-year-old woman, the flight was nice. Lie. It was a bore! But okay. When I got off the plane, I didn’t know what to do; I didn’t know who to call. Until a guy appeared who looked like he was leaving the movie Men In Black.

– Ms. Sammer?
– Not the Pope!
– It’s… ahem, I said, getting in front of him and having to look up to see his face properly.
– Please, follow me.

Man, if that was a question, I don’t know because he started dragging me toward a black car.

We got into the car and continued on our way home.

– Er… can you tell me what the name of the family I’m going to work for is? I asked during the journey.
– Oh yeah, and I apologize if I gave you a bad impression, my name is Tommy, I’m the family driver. And you will work for the J… family.

At that moment, the phone rang, and he sat there talking until we got to the house. Man, I’m now certain. The family was either famous or a fugitive from the police because we had to go through three gates, THREE! to get into the house itself. In my house, we have a little wooden gate, and that’s it. When I finally got out of the car, a woman greeted me.

– Hello, you must be Sammer, right? she asked nicely.
– Oh, yes! I said, putting my bangs behind my ear.
– Come on, I’ll show you the house and your room.

I followed her and entered the house.

The house was huge; there were five rooms with bathrooms, a kitchen, a living room, and many other things. There was even a musical instrument room.

The maid, whose name was Suzan, took me to my room.

– Well, so now I’ll leave you to settle in. Mr. and Mrs. Jonas are going to wait for you in the dining room at 8:30 pm; don’t be late, she said.
– This b… Wait a minute, JONAS?
– Yes.
– No, no, no! Are they the JONAS BROTHERS?! The last part I whispered.
– Yes, you will be Frankie’s nanny, Joe, Nick, and Kevin’s brother, she said it as if it was all too obvious. But of course! Only the idiot here didn’t know.
– Okay… but… how… OMG! I need to organize my head. But you can leave; I’ll be down there at 8:30. Thank you.

She left the room, and I sat on the bed.

OMG! OMG! It can’t be, dammit. Easy, Sammer, everything will be okay. They are just teen stars, nothing more.

“Wow, that’s not helping at all.” I said to myself.

It was only at that moment that I stopped to analyze the room. It was beautiful. Cozy.

Deep breath.

“Damn! I am not a fan of the Jonas Brothers!” I got up and went to the bathroom. I washed my face and looked in the mirror.

“It’s okay, Sammer, come on. You have a job to do.”

I looked at the clock on my wrist. It was already 7:04 pm; I still had time. I decided to take a bath because I was exhausted.

POV – Joe

I was in the living room watching Nick write a song; he said he wanted silence, but the faces he made when he was focused were pretty hilarious.

– Hey Nick, I nudged his arm; he was sitting on the floor, leaning against the couch.
– Grr… what do you want, Joe? he asked without taking his eyes off the notebook.
– You know, since it’s almost Christmas, I was thinking that you could give me a hippopotamus as a gift, right? I asked, placing my forefinger on my chin thoughtfully.
– A hippopotamus, Joe?! Wouldn’t you prefer a dog? he asked, now looking at me.
– No, dogs make a lot of mess.
– Dude, you gave me an idea for a song!
– Really?
– Yeah, I’ll write it, then I’ll show you.
– Okay, cool! I’m the best, right, Nick? Tell the truth.
– Bah!
– But seriously now. Have you seen if Frankie’s nanny has arrived?
– I think so, Suzan said something about it.
– Cool! I gave a little fist pump in the air.
– Joe, you’re weird, he said with a furrowed brow.
– No way, you’re the one who’s more normal. I gave his arm a little punch.
– BOYS! DINNER IS READY! my mother shouted from the kitchen. She and Dad said they wouldn’t work today because they wanted to meet Frankie’s new nanny.

I looked at Nick, and he looked at me.
– Whoever is last is a rotten egg! We both screamed and ran toward the dining room.

POV – Sammer

After I showered, I put on an outfit (http://www.polyvore.com/cgi/set?id=15732093) and let my hair down, as it was already 8:25 pm. I left the room and went down the stairs. When I entered the dining room, I kind of froze. Everyone looked at me.

– Good evening, I said shyly.
– Come sit with us, dear, said, it seems, Denise, with a smile.
– Thank you, I spoke. I sat in the only empty chair at the table, next to Frankie and in front of Joe.

– Well, you already know, but I’ll introduce them. This is Joe, Nick, my husband Paul, and this one is Frankie, the little brat that you’ll have to take care of, she said, shaking Frankie’s cheeks.
– Pleasure. I gave a nod.

I was still confused by having to work in the Jonas’ house; it was kind of intimidating. And to make my situation worse, Joe couldn’t take his eyes off me, and Nick looked at Joe, looked at me, and gave a hidden laugh.

– But don’t worry, Frankie isn’t messy, Aunt Denise told me.
– The one who needs more childcare here isn’t Frankie, Mom, Nick said discreetly, pointing to Joe.
– Shut the… But you know, it’s a good idea, I really needed a nanny, what do you think, hottie? he said with a thoughtful look and staring at me. Man, I was red, and I could still be going through the red and blue phase directly.
– Hmm… I… I couldn’t even talk!
– Boys, you’re embarrassing her, Aunt Denise said; she had her tongue firmly in her cheek, and even Uncle Paul, who hadn’t said anything, was fighting back laughter. I just looked down.
– Okay! Let’s have dinner! I’ll give a prize to those who guess who was talking. Yeah, you missed it because it was Frankie who said it.

Dinner was very pleasant; we had some fun and games. But it was very nice. I climbed the stairs and entered the room. I put on more comfortable clothes, black shorts, and a T-shirt. Since I had brought my bags here, I decided to tidy them up since I had nothing useful to do.

When I finished with my clothes, it was already 11:02 pm, so I lay in bed and turned on my iPod. I turned to the side and saw that from the window, I could see the pool, so I looked at the pool, and it called me, so I took my iPod and left the room, even barefoot. The house was all dark, so I went straight to the door. I arrived at the pool and sat on the edge, picked up my iPod again, put on my headphones, and turned up the volume to the max.

Colbie Caillat – Realize (acoustic)

Okay, I was there, listening to my music quietly, until I felt my phone being pulled from my hand.
– HI! he said in my ear.

– AHH! I screamed with fright and slipped and ended up falling into the pool, and by reflex, I just pulled him along. We both fell into the pool.

When I returned to the surface, he was there against the pool wall. Laughing!

– Wow, Joe! You’re crazy, boy! I spoke, gesturing with my hands and getting closer.
– Hahaha… But it… He couldn’t stop laughing.
– Joe, stop… hahaha, even I was laughing now.
– Okay, okay, he calmed down a bit.
– Okay, now I’m all wet, I said, pointing to my submerged clothes.
– Sorry, it wasn’t my intention.
– No, that’s fine. But it’s late, and I have to wake up early tomorrow, I said, climbing the pool ladder and wringing out my clothes a little.
– Okay, see you tomorrow then.
– See you.

I entered the house and climbed the stairs slowly to avoid slipping, but before entering the room, I saw Nick coming out of what appeared to be his room.

– What happened to you? he asked, pointing to my wet clothes.
– Hmm… your brother scared me, and we ended up falling into the pool, I said, looking down. He laughed.
– Oh, you barely know each other, and it’s already like this, he said, laughing.
– Oh man! You’re making me embarrassed, I said, half-laughing at my situation.
– I gotta go; I’ll let you get to sleep, he said, walking away.
– Yeah, goodnight, I said, waving and entering the room.

Inside the room, I took off my wet clothes and put on dry ones. I lay in bed and put a pillow over my face.

“Wow, Joe is really something, man! But still, it was fun.”

I ended up falling asleep.

Chapter 2

Jonas house, 6:00 am

Beep beep beep beep

OUCH! Boy, falling out of bed on the first day of work is not something good to happen!

I got off the floor and went to the bathroom, took a shower, brushed my teeth with Colgate, and put on some shorts, a shirt, and tied my hair up.

Yesterday at dinner, Aunt Denise gave me Frankie’s schedule, and looking at it, at 7:30 am, Frankie had school. So I left the bedroom and leaned against the door, looking at the three doors in front of me because now came the hardest part: finding Frankie’s room because the maid had only told me that his room was on the same floor as mine, but not which one it was. I decided to eenie-meenie-minie-moe, and I landed on the middle door because I remembered Nick leaving the door on the left last night.

I grabbed the doorknob and slowly opened it.

And there he was, sitting at the computer desk.

– Frankie!

– Babysitter! he spoke with a face of “Oh my god, I was caught.”

– Frankie, get off Happy Harvest and get ready; you can’t be late, I said, trying to pull him away.
– Ahh, Nanny, I have to, I just have to sell the corn, he said with his hand on the mouse and his tongue out, all focused.
– Okay, but only because I also like these App’s, but I prefer Rock, I said, sitting on the bed.
– Seriously, you have Rock Life, Nanny?! he asked with shining eyes.
– Are you serious? But of course I have it, and I play the guitar.
– And Baba, do you have Ray Ban?
– Of course I love him, oh and I also… I stopped; I was about to say that I play… – FRANKIE! Get a move on, kid; you have to go to school!

After getting Frankie ready, we went downstairs and had a quick coffee; we were already late, purely because of my fault for talking about App’s. When we got to school, I saw that it was full of rules and blah blah blah. A few minutes later, the bell rang.

– Nanny, you’re going to pick me up, right?
– Ahem, I’ll wait at the gate after the end of class.
– Okay, he said, giving me a kiss on the cheek and running into the classroom.

When I got home, I had a lot to do, so I went into the bedroom and got my iPod, I mean, my OTHER iPod because yesterday when I fell in the pool, it ended up getting wet and poof. Crashed. I went downstairs and went to the kitchen for a glass of water. I put on my headphones.

– DAMN! I LOVE THIS SONG!
