Perspectives on Modern Life: Equality, Image, and Well-being
Women’s Capabilities and Equality
To begin with, women are as clever and capable as men to do and think brilliant things. In fact, history is full of marvelous women, such as Marie Curie. Moreover, if humans want to get ahead, it is important to change the old way of thinking because gender inequality is not just a problem at work; it is a problem for the entire society.
To sum up, governments and high-level authorities should have the obligation to support women and open the gateway to high-level jobs.
Clothes and Appearance in Society
There are different points of view regarding this issue; in fact, it has caused a great social debate in recent months. Nowadays, our lives are often determined by what others think of us.
Firstly, the way we show ourselves in public makes people imagine the personality we have. That’s why we often choose clothes depending on the latest fashion patterns. Another important point is the influence of our social circle. That is, we have the necessity to be part of a group, so we may behave according to our friends’ expectations.
In conclusion, the fashion industry has the power to control people’s lives, influencing what people wear to be accepted by society.
Understanding and Addressing School Bullying
There are different points of view regarding this issue; in fact, it has caused a great social debate in recent months. I think that bullying is an important problem in our society. Also, bullying is dangerous for children and young people because feelings at those ages are very sensitive.
Approximately 70% of students in secondary school experience bullying effects at some point during their studies, and only about 20% of these children dare to report their situation. School bullying has a double face: it consists, firstly, of psychological abuse. But it doesn’t stop there. It is often followed by physical aggression, which can lead to severe health consequences.
In conclusion, education and support techniques have proved to be a good way to deal with this problem. But families at home, parents, and adults need to take part in this too.
Personal Growth Through Traveling
There are different points of view regarding this issue; in fact, it has caused a great social debate in recent months. Traveling gets a person out of their comfort zone, away from all their ordinary pleasures, comforts, and ways of doing things. This forces them to be adventurous; they have to discover new things and meet new people.
One of the significant benefits of traveling is finding inner balance. Often, people feel tied to their lives, their daily routine of working, sleeping, eating, and living in general. Another great benefit of traveling is gaining life experience, as many people do not have the luxury of going to another country.
In conclusion, traveling gets a person out of their comfort zone. Moreover, it may even help a person feel connected to many people living in the world.
Adapting to New Ways of Working
There are different points of view regarding this issue; in fact, it has caused a great social debate in recent months. We were used to working in a certain way. We would go to our workplaces and, once there, we would carry out our tasks. Now, everything has taken a 180-degree turn. We have had to learn to cope with being enclosed within the four walls of our house.
Many people haven’t been bothered by this; it has even been beneficial. Benefits include:
- No commuting
- No stress from not finding parking
- Increased comfort
However, there have been people who have also exceeded limits. Not being directly supervised by a boss, some have left home during work hours to carry out leisure activities.
In conclusion, I believe that we aren’t yet fully prepared to continue like this indefinitely, but little by little and with practice, we will come to master this new situation that is present in our lives.
