1. Gabriel Celaya (1911-1991), of Basque origin, was a Spanish poet of the post-war literary generation. He is one of the most prominent representatives of what was called “committed poetry.” His profession was engineering and his full name was Juan Rafael Gabriel Celaya Múgica Leceta. Celaya’s works are a great synthesis of almost all the concerns and styles of twentieth-century Spanish poetry.
2. “Poetry is a weapon loaded with future” refers to poetry as the only way that can help you out of the disastrous situation that is. It is difficult to summarize this poem, but the issue basically is the commitment to poetry with the denunciation of the social reality of the people as a necessity inherent in the soul. Gabriel uses poetry as a tool or a message to take control of whether the core.
3. The poem is organized into stanzas of four lines of major and minor art, bunda and verses of sixteen, fourteen, and eight syllables, but not the general rule, it is because they are modern lines. Are verses rhyming assonance, i.e. only rhyming vowels at the end of the verses. In the first stanza, the artist, personally, does not expect anything but expresses the concern that causes what you see to your alrededor. La second, third and fourth stanzas revolve around a demand from the poet to be freedom and justice, a cry that comes from his being at what is going on around in España. La fifth stanza seems to me a degree of sensitivity to the pain of the poor, the poorly paid. Celaya knows that poetry is necessary for everyone.
The sixth stanza talks about the repressive situation that existed in the time of the order that characterized the Franco government. In the seventh stanza, Gabriel shows his deeper side and admits he does not like the poets who write to the moon or to love. For him, poetry is everything. The eighth and ninth verses go on to say that due to the mastery that the author claims to have in their work and mastery in poetry, suggests the importance of poetry, not only the same field, but also the reflection of life. The tenth verse is that I think best sums up the poem “This is my poetry: poetry tool” and also expressed the view that we are all prisoners in the same world and this is none other than the same poetry. In the two Celaya said last verses show the importance of what our minds can visualize and think without reason. For the poet, poetry is the simple fact of life and sticking to a routine.
Call Me for Me
Ángel González
1. The author of the poem is Ángel González (Oviedo 1925 – Madrid 2008). His childhood was strongly marked by the death of his father. In 1956, he published his first book, Rough world, from his experience as a child of war. After his second book, No hope, with conviction, he became attached to the group of poets known as the Generation of 50 or Generation of the Half a Century. The passage of time and the themes of love and civic duty are the three obsessions that recur throughout the breadth of his poems, melancholy aftertaste but optimistic. His language is always pure, accessible, and transparent. It is distilled in an ethical fund of human dignity and brotherhood, ranging from solidarity and libertad. His work is a mixture of intimacy and social poetry with a particular characteristic ironic touch and daily business is a colloquial and died 2008 urbano.
Deuna respiratory failure crónica. The theme of this poem is life, trying to be above the sunset, on the authenticity of light, fighting against all odds fleeing from the mad force discouragement. This poem is a verse from 11 and 7 syllables.
In regard to the internal structure, the poem can be divided into three parts:
- The first part of verse 1 to 4 appears saying that he might be required a “wide space and a long time” may refer to his mother’s pregnancy, the uterus and 9 months of pregnancy.
- The second part of the verse is 5 to 16 starts speaking from the principle throughout history men and women everywhere have been playing, and talk about it with passion and respect for people who love that breed for a family, then says “the ancient journey of my flesh” perhaps refers to the reincarnation because then says “climbing for ever.” It also says “a slow and painful passage” may refer to delivery. “Surviving shipwreck, clinging to the last breath of the dead” is still referring to birth, and says he is the result, fruit, whatever remains, rotten in the wreckage; This could refer to the miracle of life pregnancy that a baby is raised in the womb, feel its heat, may be one, that after all that is born and is a person who depends on his mother until he grows and the only link they have is the family.
