What is Color?
When referring to a colored substance, color is the light composed of base colors (red, green, blue, violet) that is captured by the eye. Color and color pigment are sensations produced when the eye is stimulated by different light waves.

Clay & Stages
1. Clay: A very fine-grained soil that is plastic when moist but hardens when fired and can be molded by hand.
2. Slab: A building technique using a flattened sheet of clay to create a tile or form.
3. Scoring: To rough up the surface of soft clay before joining to another piece. Slip is applied onto scoring marks.
4. Slip: Has a glue-like quality; a wet and soupy form of clay used to join pieces of clay together. Color can also be added to use as surface decoration

Cone Classification
The cones in our eyes are classified into three types:
- Short-wave cones (blue)
- Medium-wave cones (green)
- Long-wave cones (red)
Additive Color Mixing (Light)
Additive synthesis is the mixing of colored lights. It’s called “additive” because the results are obtained by adding light to light. The sum of the three primary light colors (blue-violet, red-orange, and green) results in white light, the most luminous combination.
