Survival After Alien Apocalypse: A Story of Resilience

Survival After the Apocalypse

The story begins with Dawn’s sacrifice, drowning while trying to save Dídac, her Black neighbor. This event forces Alba and Dídac to survive in a depopulated world, everyone died because of platellets caused by aliens. Alba and Dídac are immune because they were in the water at the time. Witnessing the devastation, they take a goldfinch, supplies vital for survival, and head into the forest.

Finding Shelter

They discover a cave and spend months there, transforming it into a well-equipped home. Alba studies medicine, and Dídac learns mechanics from books. Alba recovers from a sprain, and Dídac overcomes the measles.

Exploring and Adapting

While exploring the forest, they find an abandoned house and settle in. They raise chickens for eggs and cultivate the fields for food, knowing their stored supplies won’t last forever.

Encounter with the Alien

They encounter strange alien devices and a menacing alien near the house. They are forced to kill it and take its weapon, deciding to return to the safer cave.

Venturing Out

After some time, they return to the house to retrieve a tractor and explore nearby towns, witnessing the extent of the disaster. They eventually reach Barcelona and find a caravan to use as a home.

Life in Barcelona

In Barcelona, they find a jeep, which is easier to handle than the tractor. They find a suitable spot for agriculture and seek to convert a truck shed.

Preserving Knowledge

They salvage books from libraries to preserve knowledge for future generations, creating a makeshift library.

Signs of Life

While searching the city, they find a note saying, “Here there survivors!” It belongs to a recently deceased woman who, according to her diary, was bathing at the beach before the disaster.

Documenting the Apocalypse

They begin documenting the events through photography, capturing the grim reality, including a man who committed suicide.

Dreams of Escape

Dídac considers using an aircraft at the airport, but Dawn’s memory warns against the danger.

Choosing the Sea

They decide a boat is safer and begin preparations to search for other survivors.

Love and Loss

On a beach, they consummate their relationship and decide to have children. During a journey, they encounter three men who attempt to assault Alba and kill Dídac, but Alba uses the alien weapon to defend them.

Challenges and Pregnancy

On their way back, they find a woman who has gone mad and left. Later, Alba discovers she is pregnant.

Settling Down

They return to Barcelona and settle in the caravan, realizing the land is unsuitable for crops.

Tragedy Strikes

After several months, Alba gives birth to a boy named Sea. Dídac plans to generate electricity using aircraft engines and seeks information in the library. One night, the boy goes missing. Alba searches for him but finds him dead under a collapsed roof.
