The Impact of Internet Piracy on the Music Industry
Although record companies and some musicians say that they are losing a lot of money with internet piracy, I don’t think that internet pirates are killing the music industry.
I believe record companies and musicians make a lot of money. They go on tours, sell T-shirts, posters…and a lot of fans still buy their CDs.
People who have money buy the CDs of their favorite groups, but there are some people who haven’t got too much money and they can’t buy these CDs because they are very expensive.
To conclude, although record companies and musicians think that internet piracy is an important problem, I believe that it isn’t killing the music industry.
Mallorca: A Tourist Paradise
I live in Mallorca, an island in the Mediterranean Sea. It’s a beautiful island with fantastic beaches.
People from different countries often come here on holidays. They come to Mallorca looking for sun and beaches.
Why do people like coming to Mallorca? Because Mallorca has fantastic beaches with clean and warm water. The weather also is very good: the sun is always shining and it doesn’t usually rain. Most tourists live in cold countries and they enjoy a lot on this island.
Mallorca also has small villages with pretty houses and traditional restaurants like Valldemossa, Deja, Soller…I love walking these villages and meeting nice people.
To conclude, I think Mallorca is a wonderful place to visit and to have a good time.
An Unforgettable Concert Experience
Two years ago I went to a concert of Alejandro Sanz in Palma Arena Stadium in Palma. He is my favorite singer. I went with my best friends. We all love Alejandro and we were very nervous.
When we got to Palma Arena, a lot of people had already arrived. People were very excited and everybody was waiting for the concert to begin.
The stadium had different colored flashing lights and suddenly very loud music started playing. Then Alejandro appeared. Everybody started to shout his name. He sang for two hours and it was fantastic.
When the concert finished, we went home. We were very tired, but very, very happy!!!
Should Children Under Ten Use Mobile Phones?
Most people have mobile phones and they use them every day. I think that mobile phones are necessary, but children, in particular, use them too much.
Although many people think that it’s good for children to have mobile phones because their parents can contact them, I believe that if they have a problem, they can ask someone to help.
Moreover, many doctors believe that mobile phones are bad for our health and many teachers think that children write worse because they use phones for texting their friends.
In my opinion, mobile phones can be useful for children, but they must learn not to use them too often.
The Benefits of Traveling Abroad
I think that it’s wonderful to travel to different countries and I disagree with the idea that it’s better to travel around my own country.
We should travel to as many countries as possible because, by visiting other countries, we can learn a lot. We can learn about the culture, new languages, different ways of life, and other customs.
Another reason for visiting other countries is that we can understand the people better. Moreover, if we learn a lot of languages, we will find a better job.
In conclusion, although I love my own country, I would like to visit as many different countries as I can.

How are you? I hope you’re enjoying life in Canada! What are you doing there? Do you study? I’m studying in Politecnic High School. It’s very difficult and I have to study very hard.
Thanks for your letter. You asked me about my hobbies. Well, I like doing sports in my free time, but this year I don’t have much free time because I have to study a lot for my exams. I also love going to the cinema to watch new films. Do you like cinema? And music? Who is your favorite singer or actor?
Do you usually go to many parties? Are you going to travel in summer? At the weekends I usually go to the disco to dance with my friends. In summer I’m going to go to England to study English.
