Abstract
Chapter I. – The Dilemma of the Knight
There lived a gentleman who spent his time fighting and rescuing damsels who may not have wanted to be rescued. He had a wife, Juliet, and a son, Christopher. The knight loved his armor so much that he never took it off. The knight’s armor was the only thing he talked about. This worried both Juliet and Christopher. Juliet told him that if he didn’t take off his armor, she and their son would leave. The gentleman then left his homeland in search of aid. When he couldn’t find any, he suddenly encountered Bolsalegre, a buffoon who told him that the only one who could help him was the magician Merlin, but that she appeared only at times. This gave new hope to the gentleman.
Chapter II .- In the Forest of Merlin
One morning when the gentleman awoke, Merlin was sitting under a tree. The gentleman said he had been lost looking for her, to which the magician told him that his life had been lost. The gentleman told him he wanted to remove his armor and fell asleep. When he awoke, Merlin gave him a strange cup of liquid that at first tasted bitter, then sweet, and delicious at the end, which represented life. Merlin had squirrels, rabbits, and crows crush food so the gentleman could eat through the armor. Merlin told him that his armor had put fear in him in battle. He was also always apologetic and wanted all his questions answered. Gradually, he became so sensitive that he could hear the animals. One day he decided to send a note to Christopher with a pigeon named Rebekah. When she brought back a blank note since his son did not know him well enough to answer, the gentleman cried until he fell asleep.
Chapter III .- The Path of Truth
When the gentleman woke up, he felt ashamed for having cried so much, but Merlin told him that this was the first step to being able to break free of his armor. Merlin led him to a path that reached two roads. One would lead to dishonesty, greed, hatred, jealousy, fear, and ignorance. But the other path was the path of truth. It was a delicate path, and Merlin warned that he would need a lot of courage and that once he made his decision, he could not change it. The gentleman began his journey with Squirrel and Rebecca. Merlin gave him a golden key which he would use to open the doors of the three castles that would block his way. The first castle was called Silence, the second Knowledge, and the third Will and Daring. Merlin said that in his fight, he would learn to love himself and then disappeared. A piece of his armor was loosened by his tears. As they walked, he learned to differentiate his inner voice. Then they came to the door of the Castle of Silence. Rebecca said the difference between humans and animals is that men expect and animals accept. Squirrel and Rebecca waited for him on the other side of the castle, and he entered.
Chapter IV .- The Castle of Silence
When he entered, he sat by the fire and realized two things: there was no way out, and there was a terrible silence. Suddenly, he heard the voice of the King, who did the same to him. The gentleman then asked the King to undertake the journey together, but the King said that he would only do so if the gentleman remained silent. The King also told him, “This is a new type of cross that requires more courage than the others. If you manage to gather the necessary strength and stay to do what you have to do here, it will be your greatest victory.” The gentleman then admitted he was afraid of solitude and entered a door that opened into another room. Then he started talking to himself, and another door opened. He realized that he had never experienced the present moment. Then he talked about the future or his past, and another door opened into the next room. He realized that he had never truly heard anything or anyone and felt the loneliness that Juliet had felt for a long time. He entered another room, each becoming smaller than the previous one. He asked why, and a voice replied that he was about to find his true self. The voice told him it was his true self and to call it Sam. Then he fell asleep. Upon waking, he was out on the path of truth, and Squirrel and Rebecca said they had spent a lot of time there. He cried so hard that his helmet had rusted and fallen off. Then he began to have a connection with himself.
