Sailing the Mediterranean Sea
My husband and I, both teachers, enjoy our summer holidays by sailing around the Mediterranean Sea with our children. This year, we’ll depart from Menorca on July 1st and head towards Greece.
Our first stop will be Carloforte, a charming island south of Sardinia. We’ll spend a few hours there before continuing to Tunisia. We love fishing and often catch tuna on our way to Carloforte. We usually sell the excess tuna at the fish market.
My children are passionate about swimming and could spend the entire day in the water. Last year, we visited the Ionian Islands in Greece, which are also stunning. When sailing, we embrace the unpredictable nature of travel, letting the wind guide our journey.
A Disappointing Birthday
This birthday was supposed to be special, but things didn’t go as planned. I woke up early, but my family was still asleep. I went to school alone, and my friends had forgotten it was my birthday.
When I returned home, there was no special dinner. We ate hamburgers, and everyone went to bed early. I gave up on celebrating and watched a movie instead. It turned out to be just another ordinary day.
An Unexpected Encounter with a Monkey
A week ago, I was walking home when I heard a strange noise coming from a tree. I couldn’t see anything, so I continued walking. Suddenly, I felt someone following me. I turned around and saw a monkey!
I was scared and started yelling, but no one was around. The monkey seemed more frightened than I was. I cautiously approached it, and it trembled with fear. I decided to take it home and feed it. It was incredibly hungry.
I took the monkey to the zoo, but they didn’t have space for it. So, I decided to keep it as a pet.
Planning a Trip to Barcelona and Tarragona
Dear Peter,
Thanks for your letter. I’m sorry for not writing sooner, but I’ve been busy. I’m excited about your visit next month, although it’s only for a week.
We should spend the first two days in Barcelona. It’s a beautiful city, and I want to share it with you. Afterward, we can visit Tarragona, an ancient Roman city. My cousin Anna offered us her flat near the beach in Cambrils. We could also go to Port Aventura, an amusement park. If we go, remember to wear comfortable clothes.
Looking forward to hearing from you soon.
