Unforgettable Days: Stories and Reflections
A Fun Day with Friends
One day last summer, I decided to go to the river with some friends. We don’t live on the coast, so we met in town at nine o’clock in the morning and got on a bus. We found a good place, took off our T-shirts, and sat down on the sand. Then we started playing football. Later, some children came to play with us. Finally, we won the match.
In the afternoon, we drank mate with the other boys and girls and started to talk about our jobs. One boy recently started working in the same company I had worked for before. What a coincidence! He told me about the company and how it has changed.
For me, it was a really good day because I liked hanging out with my friends so much, and I liked it even more being able to share this with other guys, after which we became friends.
My First Day of Work: A Strange Experience
An experience to recount can be my first day of work. In my opinion, it was a very strange day. When I woke up, I was very excited to start working. I had my clothes ready and everything. I also ate breakfast. This was unusual for me because I do not usually eat breakfast, but I thought I had to do it because it would be many hours without eating.
When I arrived at work at 9 o’clock, there was nobody there yet. I kept waiting at the corner of the office, where there was a place to drink coffee. After a while, I saw a person open the office door, so I immediately paid for my coffee, got up, and went to the office. When I arrived, a man opened the door. It was my boss. He made me come in. He showed me my desk. He didn’t say anything, so I didn’t know what to do. Finally, a person who worked with me arrived; he had started working a month ago. He said he did not like the way of working at the company and had wanted to resign.
It was a strange day because I was disillusioned, and I had other expectations.
