Peace:
The peace and tranquility in the internal affairs of states. Ideal state to live in peace and harmony, fostering understanding, solidarity, and respect among the peoples of the world. A state is at peace when not at war with other peoples.

Scope International:
Venezuela must cooperate with the fraternal countries of the continent and the international community, based on mutual respect for sovereignty, self-determination of peoples, and the universal guarantee of individual and social rights.
National Level:
The State holds the responsibility for National Defense and supreme vigilance of the general interests of the Republic, the preservation of public peace, and the proper enforcement of laws throughout the national territory.
International Agencies and Functions for Peace
The United Nations Organization (UNO)
Organization of sovereign states united voluntarily to work together for world peace and friendship among nations.
Born after World War II in 1945, its main objective was to maintain international peace and prevent conflict.
The United Nations Charter is the document that established the United Nations.
Article 1 of the Charter of the United Nations states that its main purpose is to maintain international peace and security.
UN Organization
- General Assembly: This consists of 192 members with voting rights. Their functions include considering all issues affecting world peace and security.
- Security Council: UN body in charge of maintaining peace and world security. It is composed of 15 members, 5 permanent (China, Russia, United Kingdom, France, USA) and 10 elected by the Assembly every 2 years.
- Economic and Social Council: The body that coordinates the social and economic work of the United Nations. This consists of 27 members elected every year by the General Assembly.
- Trusteeship Council: The body established to oversee the administration of territories in trust or under the trusteeship system.
- The International Court of Justice: The principal judicial organ of the United Nations, based in The Hague. This consists of 15 judges elected by the General Assembly and the Security Council for a period of 9 years.
2. International Labour Organization (ILO)
The global body responsible for the development and supervision of international labor standards. ILO was created in 1919 as part of the Versailles Treaty, which ended World War I, reflecting the belief that social justice is necessary for world peace and permanence.
It consists of three organs:
- Board: The executive organ of the International Labour Office.
- International Labour Office: The permanent secretariat of the organization.
- International Labour Conference: General policies are dictated by the ILO International Labour Conference.
3. Organization of American States (OAS)
Established in 1948 with the signing of the OAS Charter in Bogotá, Colombia, which came into force in December 1951. Its function is to maintain peace among its members, take joint action in case of aggression, and solve political, judicial, social, and economic issues affecting the welfare of the people.

International Monetary Fund,
was created in July 1944 to oversee the international monetary system and further the economic and financial policies of its 187 member countries. Its main purpose is to ensure the stability of the international monetary system.World Health Organization
